Redwood City, Calif.–May 1, 2012—Senior management executives of i2c, Inc., a prepaid, debit and credit payment processor headquartered in Redwood City, Calif., have been invited to speak at various events in the next two months. Having just returned from speaking engagements at Prepaid Expo 2012, 4th Mobile Contactless Payments Innovations Summit and Social:Mobile:Payments Conference & Exhibition in Orlando, Florida, the company is preparing for a busy event schedule for the next two months.

The CEO/Founder of i2c, Amir Wain, will be discussing the changes within the evolving industry during the opening general session of the 24th Annual Card Forum & Expo, being held in Orlando, Florida from May 8-11. Joining Wain on the panel aptly titled, “Redefining the Purchase Experience” will be Gary Marino, senior vice president of global financial services at Paypal and Eric Dunn, the senior vice president of payment initiatives at Intuit also on the panel will be the Global Head of Prepaid & Emerging Payments for Discover Network, Farhan Ahmad. “The convergence of payments, loyalty and mobile options is revolutionizing the industry. Right now, the way consumers shop and what they utilize to pay for these expenditures is shifting, and this transition requires innovation and strategic thinking to stay ahead. It goes beyond the purchase experience; we’re having to redefine and restructure the entire payments infrastructure,” said Wain.

For the first time in the 24 year history of the event, the conference is also featuring a “Prepaid Day” prior to the official opening of the event, during which Jim Ackerson, senior vice president of i2c, will be speaking on the opening session of this track, “Getting Serious about Prepaid”. Senior Vice President of The Bancorp Bank, John Barbella, and Hyung Choice, the U.S. head of prepaid at Visa, will be joining Ackerson on the panel. “Given the momentum of mobile wallets and prepaid at this time, it’s prime time to discuss the risks of not executing a prepaid strategy,” said Ackerson. “Banks need to figure out strategies to integrate prepaid while protecting existing revenue and reducing customer attrition.” In June, Wain will be speaking at the National Prepaid Branded Association’s (NBPCA) Inaugural Congress, “The Power of Prepaid”, taking place in Washington D.C. from June 3-5 at the Gaylord Hotel. i2c is a founding sponsor of this gathering of the most renowned visionaries and innovators within the prepaid industry. Ackerson is scheduled to speak on the opportunities and challenges associated with expanding prepaid programs internationally, a strong competency for i2c, with a large number of international clients for whom the company processes prepaid, debit and credit card payments.

The week after NBPCA’s event, the team at i2c will be heading directly to 7th Annual Underbanked Financial Services Forum in San Francisco, the industry’s premier conference catered toward payment products and solutions for the massive global market of underbanked and unbanked population.
